Curriculum Intent

Our curriculum will give students the opportunity to become fluent in the fundamentals of Mathematics, through varied and frequent practice with increasingly complex problems over time.

Students will solve problems by applying their Mathematics to a variety of real-life problems and be expected to communicate solutions using Mathematical vocabulary.

We aim to develop students’ Mathematical curiosity by encouraging them to question ‘why’ and asking them to make connections between topics, both within Mathematics and their wider education.

Furthermore, we endeavour to develop their resilience, confidence and independence, so that they are all round better learners.
