Standards and Expectations April 2024

All students have started this term with our standards and expectations assembly. This has set the scene for the summer term and also conveyed some important messages that we are communicating to ensure that we maintain a positive culture in the school.

The focus of the assembly (delivered by Mr Nash) has been about community and the importance of celebrating difference and diversity. Students are educated about stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination and how these three things are interlinked. Importantly, students have been made aware of the danger of justifying prejudice behaviour as friendly "banter" and the need to speak out to ensure that we maintain an inclusive and welcoming community.
