Hedingham School is delighted with their best ever GCSE examination results with 70% of students securing 5+ A*-C grades including English and Mathematics. One of many outstanding achievements was 74% of students achieving 4+ (the new C Grade equivalent) in both English and Mathematics. An impressive 68% of students achieved a 5+ in English with 57% achieving the same standard in Mathematics. There was an outstanding amount of the very highest grades with 25% of all grades achieved being A*-A. The examination results show a consistency in excellent outcomes for students but also an improving and upward trend.
There were superb results in a number of subjects and a large number of outstanding individual performances by the students. Charlotte Fenner achieved 3 Grade 9’s, 6A*s, 1A, Chloe Foord and Rosie Gault both achieved a 9, 2 8’s, 5A*s and 2A’s. Zoe Couch, Lily Amos, Charlotte Couch, Daisy Newton, Isabella Ottevanger, Natasha Hill, Fleur Gardener Samuel Perry and Alex McManus all averaged A* Grades across their subjects.
