Hedingham School A Level Results 2014

Hedingham School is delighted with another successful year at A Level. 96% of students gained a pass grade in their A Level exams. This consolidates the positive improvement made by the Hedingham students over the last three years with 72 % of the grades at A*-C. A special mention must go to the Art students who achieved five A*, two A’s and a B. This was an exceptional achievement for the students and the Art department.
There were a number of notable individual student performances. Taylor Haldane achieved two A’s and one B. Nathan Hope gained one A and two B grades and will now take his place at the University of Sussex to study History and Politics. Jessica Davis attained one A*, one A, one B and will be studying Graphic Design at the University of Reading. Also congratulations to Alistair Godfrey for his A* grade in Design and Technology.
The AS pass rate of 91% was the best result the school has achieved. A number of students performed very well, notably Olivia Baldwin, Isobelle Halls, Paris Smale, Oliver Rowe, Joseph Nourse, Joseph Ling and Harry Wellerd who achieved a combination of A’s and B’s.
Headteacher John Panayi was thrilled by the performance of students. He said, ‘We are very pleased to achieve another good year of A level results. The 91% pass rate at AS level is excellent and really encouraging for the future. The school continues to set high expectations for the students and this is again reflected in the results. I would like to thank the commitment and hard work demonstrated by all students, staff and parents. I wish all the students a successful future.’
