    Congratulations to Georgina Turner; she is the Jack Petchey Award Winner January.

    Georgina was nominated for helping out at the after school Gymnastics Club on Mondays at de Vere Primary School.  She has been committed and punctual every week, has formed excellent relationships with the gymnasts, planned and prepared music and routines in her own time and been an excellent support to the PE Co-ordinator.  She is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.

    Mr. Panayi presented Georgina with a Certificate, Badge and Cheque on Friday 17 January 2014.

    Congratulations to Emily Caton; she is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for November.

    Emily was nominated for all the work that she does for Charities such as St. John’s Ambulance, filling boxes for Children in Need and many other charitable organisations. At the same time she is a committed member of her local community, a prefect, a librarian, she plays various sports inside and outside of school as well as excelling in her school work. She is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.

    Congratulations to Alfie Wyland-Brooks; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for October.

    Alfie was nominated for caring and ‘looking out’ for vulnerable younger students within the school, on the bus and on trips, giving them support and confidence and letting them know they have someone who will be there for them if required. He is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.

    Congratulations to Ivan Fellowes; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for September.

    Ivan was nominated for helping to raise money for breast cancer and has already raised £2,000 by organising and helping in a number of events and activities.

    Also he was very courageous during the incident on the Sponsored Walk. He helped staff and students to safety and was very calm in a difficult situation. He is a conscientious and caring member of the school community.

    Congratulations to Jack Edwards; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for June.

    Jack was nominated because he represented Hedingham School on the ‘Hedingham Project’ working with primary aged children from Years 1-6. He worked all day with a wide range of pupils. However, in particular, he showed amazing empathy with a boy with severe learning difficulties. He was patient, kind and respectful of the other pupil’s needs and an extremely positive relationship between the two developed over the day.

    The school received comments from the leader of the ‘Hedingham Project’ and Primary School staff as to how impressed they were by Jack’s work. Two members of Hedingham staff also witnessed the situation – it was truly impressive.

    Max was nominated for his on-going support to less confident students, providing security for them in new situations so that they are very successful

    Congratulations to Charlie Nott; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for April.

    Charlie was nominated for his recent achievement in being picked to join Ipswich Football Team. He was chosen from 40 other students to do this and he is one of the youngest in the team.
