    Congratulations to Alex Walder; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for March 2017.

    Alex was nominated for giving up his time to help teach a GCSE class how to use the ‘Sketchup’ CAD software.  In addition he volunteered to be student ambassador for Design Technology during the recent Open Evening and worked tirelessly all evening with prospective students and parents to promote the department and school.  He is a conscientious member of the school community.   

    Mr. Panayi presented Alex with a Certificate, Badge and Cheque on Thursday 16 March 2017.

    Congratulations to Joe Snell; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for February 2017. 

    Joe was nominated for the amazing work he has done to raise money for Cancer Research.  He has worked tirelessly to support the charity, ‘The Smile of Arran’, which was set up in the memory of his friend Arran, who tragically died from a brain tumour when he was only 13 years old.  Joe has continued to play in the band that Arran set up and has busked for over 3 years with friends to raise thousands of pounds for his chosen charity.   You have also recently received a very prodigious Award as a BBC Radio One Teen Hero when they heard his story.   He is a credit to our school community and we are very proud of what he has achieved.

    Congratulations to Toby Halls; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for January 2017.

    Congratulations to Josh Aldridge; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for November 2016.

    Josh was nominated for being instrumental in setting up the 3D printer in the Design & Technology Learning area and supporting teaching staff and the technician with the ‘Sketchup’ CAD software and all hardware technical issues.  He is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.

    Congratulations to Cameron Kerr; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for October 2016. 

    Cameron was nominated for coaching the Year 7 Rugby team all through last year and he has continued to do so this year.  He is an exceptional role model for the younger students and he has encouraged many of them to join a local rugby club.   Cameron is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.

    Congratulations to Tom Arnold; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for September 2016.

    Tom was nominated for starting a DJ Club in the Music Department and for encouraging and helping students, who do not normally engage in music to take part.  He has also voluntarily assisted Mr Cull and Mr Ralling in different Performing Arts Productions, helping them with sound and lighting. He is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.

    Congratulations to Tom Goodwins; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for May 2016.

    Tom was nominated because on a number of occasions, as a Prefect, he has stopped incidents happening during lunchtimes when students have been misbehaving.  He has totally embraced his role as a Prefect and gone above and beyond his duties.  The House Team are very grateful for his support.  He is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.

    Congratulations to Imogen Halley; she is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for April 2016.

    Imogen was nominated for helping the ‘Children in Care’ Council, working with disadvantaged and disabled young people giving them her time and support.  She is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.

    Congratulations to Anthony Cole; he is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for March 2016.

    Anthony was nominated for using his clarinet skills to voluntarily teach another student clarinet in school.  This student went on to complete his clarinet grade exam and achieved highly.  Anthony has also been using his Monday lunchtimes to run the school Orchestra which involves him learning how to conduct and lead an ensemble of mixed age students.  He is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.

    Congratulations to Katie Greengrass; she is the Jack Petchey Award Winner for February 2016.

    Katie was nominated for willingly giving up her time each week to help out with the after school Rugby Club as a Rugby Ambassador and Sports Leader.   Through this she has shown that she is very committed to going the extra mile to motivate and inspire pupils and encourage them to regularly take part in physical activity.  She is a conscientious and thoughtful member of the school community.
